Your pet's DNA and symptoms in one vet-ready report

You already have your pet's DNA results. PawGen Insights reads them alongside the symptoms you're noticing at home, then gives you a clear summary to take to your veterinarian.

How it works

Three steps, built around the visit you'd make anyway.

1

Upload DNA results

Add the results from a pet DNA test you've already taken, such as Embark. We start with the health file your test provider gives you.

2

Add symptoms

Tell us what you're seeing, like itching, low energy, stomach upset or red eyes, and how long it's been going on.

3

Get a vet-ready report

Receive a plain-language report that connects relevant genetic findings with your observations, plus questions to bring to your vet.

Built with a veterinarian

PawGen Insights is co-founded by a licensed veterinarian who guides how reports are written and reviewed.

  • Clinical content is reviewed by a licensed veterinarian.
  • Reports support your vet visit. They never replace it.
  • Urgent warning signs always point you to a vet right away.

Questions

Is this a diagnosis?

No. PawGen Insights gives you organized information to discuss with your veterinarian. Only a veterinarian who examines your pet can diagnose or treat them.

Which DNA tests will work?

We're starting with Embark health results. We're looking into other providers and will share updates with the waitlist.

Is it for dogs and cats?

Yes, both are planned. Support for each test provider and species will be announced as it becomes available.

What happens to my pet's data?

Joining the waitlist only collects your email and pet type. When the app launches, we'll explain clearly how uploaded data is stored and used before you share anything.

When does it launch, and what will it cost?

We haven't announced a date or pricing yet. Waitlist members will hear first.

What if my pet seems seriously ill?

Don't wait for an app. Contact your veterinarian or an emergency animal hospital right away.
